FAQs
Real Questions. Honest Answers.
If you’re here, there’s a good chance you’ve been holding a lot together for a long time. On the outside, you’re functioning. Showing up. Getting things done. But underneath? You’re tired. Overwhelmed. Maybe even disconnected from yourself. You’re not alone—and you’re not the only woman feeling this way right now.At Sloane Therapy Group, we provide online therapy for women navigating anxiety, burnout, midlife transitions, relationship stress, and the mental load of everyday life in Tennessee, Florida, and Minnesota. These are some of the real questions women ask before they reach out.
How do I know if I’m burned out or just stressed?
Stress comes and goes. Burnout stays. Burnout looks like waking up tired, even after sleep. Feeling irritable, numb, or emotionally drained. It’s pushing through your days instead of actually living them. If everything feels heavier than it should—you’re not just “stressed.”
Do I need therapy if I’m still functioning?
Yes. And honestly—this is most of the women we work with. You can be high-functioning and still overwhelmed. You can be successful and still feel disconnected. You can be “fine” on paper and still not feel like yourself. You don’t have to fall apart to deserve support.
What does therapy for anxiety, burnout, or overwhelm actually look like?
Therapy isn’t about fixing you. You’re not broken. This is where we slow things down and actually look at what’s going on beneath the surface—your patterns, your relationships, your stress, your mental load. We create space for you to process what you’ve been carrying while also giving you real, practical tools to feel more grounded, clear, and in control. This is where you come back to yourself.
Is online therapy actually effective?
Yes—and for many women, it’s even better. Online therapy allows you to show up as you are, from your own space, without adding more stress to your day. No commuting. No rushing. No trying to fit one more thing into an already full schedule. Just real support, in a way that actually fits your life.
Why do I feel like I’m holding everything together but falling apart inside?
Because you’ve been strong for a long time. You’ve been the one people rely on. The one who figures it out. The one who keeps going. But at some point, holding everything together starts to come at a cost. That feeling? It’s not weakness. It’s your mind and body asking for something different.
What if I’m not ready for therapy yet?
That’s okay. You don’t have to be all-in to take the first step. Sometimes the starting point is simply slowing down long enough to hear yourself again.
