I Don’t Hustle for My Worth Anymore

There was a time when I believed my worth came from how much I got done.

If I checked all the boxes.
If I kept the house perfect.
If I replied to every text right away.
If I said yes to every favor.
If I never dropped a single ball — then maybe I’d be enough.

But here’s what I know now:
That wasn’t worth — that was survival.
That was fear disguised as productivity.
That was burnout wearing lipstick and a forced smile.

I used to fill every moment of my day, because sitting still made me feel guilty. Because if I wasn’t doing something for someone else, I didn’t know who I was. And I’m not proud of that — but I’m not ashamed either. Because it was a season of life that taught me exactly what I no longer want to carry.

Now?
I honor rest.
I value quiet.
I don’t owe anyone my constant availability, energy, or performance.

I’m allowed to rest without earning it.
I’m allowed to say no without explaining it.
I’m allowed to be loved for who I am — not just what I do.

And you are too.

You are not a walking checklist.
You are not here to be everything for everyone.
And you are absolutely not selfish for making space to take care of yourself.

I don’t hustle for my worth anymore. Because I already have it.
