Let’s talk about the question so many women in their 20s and 30s are asking. Should I just delete the apps?

Should I stop dating for a while? Should I go on dates even if I know it might go nowhere? Should I be putting myself out there more — or focusing on healing and building the life I want?

Honestly? There’s no one-size-fits-all answer.
But here’s what I can tell you — based on what I’ve seen, heard, and held space for:

1. If the apps are making you feel worse — you’re allowed to step back.

You don’t owe the algorithm your peace. You don’t have to keep swiping just to feel like you’re “doing something.” Deleting the apps for a season isn’t giving up — it’s giving yourself room to breathe.

Sometimes the healthiest thing you can do is log off and build a life so rich in connection, truth, and self-worth… that dating stops feeling like your only outlet for intimacy.

2. If you want to keep dating — go in eyes wide open, but heart still soft.

Yes, it might not work. Yes, people can be flaky, avoidant, and straight-up deceptive. But if your gut says you’re ready — go.

Go on the date. Practice presence. Know your worth. And remember: you’re allowed to walk away at any point.

Dating doesn’t have to be soul-crushing. But it does require boundaries, self-trust, and knowing what your energy is not available for anymore.

3. You don’t have to choose between connection and self-focus.

You can build beautiful friendships, focus on your growth, AND explore dating — without losing yourself in the process.

You can say:

“Right now I’m prioritizing people who feel good to be around — whether they’re romantic or not.”

You don’t need a master plan. You need alignment.

And sometimes the best relationships (romantic or otherwise) come when you stop forcing timelines and start following peace.

Whether you’re in, out, or somewhere in between this is your reminder that your value isn’t tied to your relationship status. And your clarity doesn’t have to come from a match.

It can come from you.
