This Year, I’m Protecting My Peace Like It’s My Job

At the beginning of this year, I made a promise to myself.

I started drawing this invisible shield around my energy — one that only lets in what’s good, aligned, supportive, and real.

And I say it constantly, like a mantra:
“If you’re not bringing good energy into my life, you can get the hell out of here.”

I know it sounds bold. But here’s the truth — I’ve spent years carrying everyone else’s emotions, needs, projections, and expectations.
And it nearly broke me.

So now?
I protect my peace like it’s sacred — because it is.

And no, it’s not always easy. Some days, it’s really damn hard to keep that shield up — especially when people around me don’t understand the changes. But I made a promise to myself: To be intentional with my time. To be clear with my boundaries. To stop shrinking just to keep the peace… and start honoring my own.

Because if I don’t?
I don’t stay healthy. And that’s not an option anymore.

I’m not available for the drama. I don’t feed into the chaos.
I won’t waste another second explaining my decisions to people who were never meant to understand them.

This version of me — the one who’s standing taller, speaking louder, and moving with clarity — she’s not going anywhere.

And to the women reading this who feel like they’ve lost that sense of peace? You can take it back. One bold decision at a time.
