The Truth Will Cost You. But So Will the Lie.
I’ve worked with hundreds of women who have told me the same thing in different ways: “I’m scared that if I tell the truth about how I really feel, everything will fall apart.”
Here’s the thing: sometimes it does. But sometimes — everything finally falls into place.
As a therapist, I’ve worked with women who seem to have it all together. They’re smart, successful, organized. On paper, everything looks shiny. But here’s what I’ve learned: Looking good on paper doesn’t mean shit if your soul is exhausted.
Sometimes the bravest thing you can do is say out loud:
• “I’m not happy.”
• “I feel stuck.”
• “I don’t like the life I’ve built.”
• “I’m pretending way too much.”
Truth is uncomfortable. It disrupts things. It forces change. And that’s exactly why most people avoid it — not because they’re weak, but because they’re scared. Scared of hurting others. Scared of losing comfort. Scared of walking away from things they’ve worked hard for.
But you know what else is scary?
Staying small. Living in a lie. Making yourself sick trying to be everything for everyone but yourself.
I’ve watched women go from silently unraveling to slowly rebuilding. I’ve seen what happens when someone finally tells the truth — first to themselves, and then out loud. And I’ve lived it too. Your fear is valid. But it doesn’t get to decide your future.
Healing doesn’t always look beautiful. Sometimes it looks like hard conversations, solo walks, and crying in your car between meetings. But over time, it also starts to look like clarity. Boundaries. Peace. A new beginning.
The truth costs you something. But the lie? It costs you everything. Want to start telling the truth to yourself?
Our guided journals are designed to meet you in the mess — no pressure, no perfection, just space to write it all out.
